Queen's Day

Today was a very important day in Holland. It was ‘Queen’s Day’ or Koninginnedag. This is a very special day for the Dutch people and they treat it as a big party. It is really a celebration of their love for Queen Beatrix.

I was so happy when my humans agreed to take me into Rotterdam centre to enjoy the festivities. The first big adventure of the day was that I got to take my first ever train journey...

Here I am with Dad, waiting for the train. I hope he’s got my ticket.

Shhh...I think it’s coming.

Is this a train?

...and we’re on. Ooohh I’m so excited!

Here I am in Rotterdam city centre. As you can see, there’re lots of people out enjoying themselves. Apparently, the tradition is that you should wear something orange...

Ta-da! So as not to look out of place, I decided to dress for the occasion.

We then decided to take a walk around. It appeared that I wasn’t the only dog in town...

This was the first doggy I ran into.

She was a real grouch. She never stopped barking.

I didn’t get too close to this Rottie. He was busy looking after the stall.

Look at the size of this guy. He started singing as I walked by.

Then I met this young lady. She was dressed for the occasion with a pretty orange bow tie...

...not as well dressed as me though.

Here I am with Dad. It was a long day and time to head home...

...so. Here I am back on the train again.

I had a great day and it was wonderful to see everybody enjoying themselves and dressed up in vivid orange.

For me though, I prefer a multi-coloured look.

Anyway, this is me with my own booti-ful ‘Queen’, Missus.

Tot ziens (see ya!)

My Weekend with Amy and Katie

Last weekend, my humans yet again left me while they went off galivanting on holiday. Tsk. Never mind, this of course meant that I could enjoy another fun-packed weekend staying with the lovely Amy.

Here she is. Isn’t she booti-ful?

I greeted her with a quick peck on the cheek.

To my great delight, Amy also had another guest staying with her over the weekend…

…meet Katie! She’s eighteen months old and a real paw-full.

At first, I wasn’t sure whether Katie was going to be playful…

…but she was soon running around like a mad dog.

Boy she was fast on her paws.

Pretty soon, Amy decided that she wanted to join in.

Amy and Katie played tug-of-wag. I must admit that I was soon feeling a bit left out...

...so I tried to make my presence felt....

...and we all ended up in a mad frolic. What a great weekend!

Easter 2009

Hooray, it’s Easter! Another chance for me to scoff on ‘festive’ food.

Missus bought some Easter goodies. Aren’t they cute? (I can’t wait to eat them later. Evil laughter – Muah Ha ha ha..)

While I was drooling over the treats, I noticed that Missus was busy making something.

“What’s this Missus? Can I eat it?” She growled at me and said “No!”

This is how Missus’ creation turned out. I can’t imgaine what it's for...

...Oh no! I’ve just had some flashbacks to this and this and this. It can only mean one thing...

...yep, Missus has decided to dress me up yet again. This time I’m supposed to look like an Easter bunny.

I can’t help thinking that I look more like a ‘Playboy’ bunny than an Easter bunny.

Me, some bunnies and my Easter eggs.

Have a wonderful Easter everyone.

Booti-ful Pictures of Me

It’s been a long time since I posed for some ‘nice’ photos of myself. (Take a look here and here for my ‘pawfolios’ from 2007).

Despite the years going by, I think I’ve still retained my good looks. What do you think?

Here I come, strutting my stuff.

This is my best “come hither” pose. Sophisticated huh?

The ‘Sphinx’.

How could you resist me with an expression like this?

Check out my floppy ears!

My ‘pretty please’ look and...

...just ‘Me’.
