Coastal Rose Garden

Ruff! Ruff! Aaaa rooo!

We went out for a quick walk today around our new home in Shekou. The place is called Coastal Rose Garden. It's a great place for me, with plenty of immaculate lawns, palm trees, plants and miles of quiet foot paths for me to walk along. There are also lots of lamp posts and fire hydrants for me to "do what comes naturally" and mark my territory. Best of all, the place is full of other dogs for me to hang out with. I've already made friends with a couple of young labrador boys and some smaller dogs. I've even got my eye on a couple of good looking 'bitches'. Anyway, enough about me, come and take a walk with me around Coastal Rose Garden.

This is the building that we live in - Block 39.

There is a lawn right on our door step! I often hang out with other dogs here.

We normally start our walk from here.

This is one of the long foot paths that we like to stroll down.

Stopping for a break. Notice the promenade in the background.

I even get to use the humans' benches.

As usual, this photoshoot wouldn't be complete without a close up picture of me.

The fountain area. Unfortunately, Dad and I got distracted for this shot.

Dad and me.

Sniff! Sniff!

The swimming pool behind me. The humans haven't let me take a dip yet.

Outside the club house.

A stroll through the gazebo.

A booti-ful backdrop.

The gazebo from another angle. Not sure what that strange looking creature in the background is? I will investigate tomorrow and let you know...

It's My BIRTHDAY!!!

Happy birthday to meeeee!!! Arooo!!!

I'm so happy because it's my birthday today. I'm now two years old, and supposedly no longer a puppy. That's what the humans say anyway - as far as I'm concerned, I'm still young at heart and able to 'get away with murder'. Anyway, the best thing about my birthday is that I get to 'pig out'!!!

For starters, I had this scrumptious 'chicken a-la king'.

Even better - my birthday cake!

Why is Scooby dooOOOO sitting on my cake???

A typical family portrait. As usual Missus and Dad are doing their best poses, but all I can think about is the food!

Food!!!

Give me my food...

OK, I'll play ball on the posing, as long as I can have some food.

Oops. Sorry, I couldn't stop licking my lips! But I want some food!

Now can we have some food?

Finally, I get to eat the gourmet meal that Missus has prepared for me!

Now I am happy to pose with Missus (Dad calls this shot "The Dafties").

Me and Dad on my second birthday.

At the Beauty Palour

As tomorrow is my birthday, Missus decided to take me to a pet 'groomer' to spruce me up for my special day.

This is the front of the 'beauty palour' that I went to.

I'm sorry that I don't have a 'before' picture but this is me 'after' my grooming session. It's hard to tell any difference but I definitely smell better!

By the way, while I was at the groomer's, I met this American Golden Retriever who lives there. He is about three and half years old. I did not get to know his name, as nobody was around to properly introduce us. Hopefully, I'll let you know his name after I go there next time.

There were also a 'family' of two month old golden retriever puppies. This one seems to be saying: "Pick meeeeee!"

Soon, the others began to fight for our attention.

"Don't pick him, he stinks!"

My New Den

Ruff! Ruff! I'm back and I apologise for the delay since my last blog. I have been very busy during the past couple of weeks: moving apartments, unpacking my toys, finding my food, and generally having a good sniff around in the new neighbourhood. Anyway, I've just had a chance to ask Missus to take some photos of my new den. This is what I will be calling home for the next year or so. Come and join me on a guided tour.

This is the living room. There is a balcony next to it. Sometimes I can spend hours watching the world outside go by.

The dining area.

The kitchen.

The kitchen leads to this open concept laundry room.

The human's room. Shhhh... Don't tell anyone I've been on the bed.

This is a good corner for me to meditate...

My Journey from Okpo to Shekou

Well, here it is folks, I am about to set-off on my long journey to our new home in China. Missus has kindly agreed to take some photos along the way.

The pet transport company representatives arrived and we got ready to go. I would be travelling in my old crate throughout the whole journey.

Oooooh I am so excited!!!

Ta-ta Koreans!!!

Can we hit the road now???

After Missus gave the pet transport representatives strict instructions to be good to me, and having said our farewells, it was finally time to go.

Missus somehow managed to take this picture of me from the aeroplane. It was nice to know that somebody was watching over me.

Hurry up and get me on the plane! I want to accumulate some more air miles.

This was me departing the aeroplane at Guangzhou airport. Missus even managed to get a photo of me meeting my first Chinaman on the runway.

At last I was reunited with Missus in the van and we left for our new apartment in Shekou! Aren't I an international jet setter??? This is my fourth country (Australia, Singapore, South Korea and now China) and I am not even two years old yet!
